I was born alive and kicking on the 30th August 1951. I was raised in Liverpool and left my home City at the age of 19 to find my fame and fortune, my travels taking me to South Africa, North America, back to the UK and latterly as National Manager to both Thailand and Indonesia. This would not have been possible without the support of my dear wife Kathy who I met as a youngster in Liverpool and who has brought into the world and cared for our three sons, Jason, Stephen and Gareth.

For any young football player looking at this website, I hope that you will be inspired to give your career your very best shot, believe in yourself and move forward with unstoppable belief. For my part, I have played at the highest level of the game both on an international and domestic level and along the way I have won League Championship twice, European Cup, League Cup, European Super Cup and Charity Shield of note. At the age of 29 I was called upon to represent my Country and I was a member of the 1982 World Cup team. As a striker, I also won the Golden Boot.

As a manager, I won the Gold medal, The Tiger Cup and The Kings Cup with the Thailand National Team and with Indonesia I achieved a Silver Medal in the Tiger Cup. In addition and for the first time in their history, I took the Thailand National Team to the last 10 of the World Cup Qualifiers and during my reign the Thailand National team averaged 60th out of 203 in the FIFA World rankings.    

I am currently looking at one or two management options and in addition I am in the process of having my life story written.
